Location
School is not centrally located hence parents find difficulty in getting their kids to the school.
Slow Progress
Lack of progress to accommodate higher grades: Educare receives an influx of applications as Muslim parents prefer that their kids are educated in an Islamic environment but remove their children when it is time to proceed to the higher levels due to lack of infrastructure.
Infrastructure
Lack of Infrastructure such as well equipped classrooms, additional teachers, hygienic toilets and ablution facilities, safe play areas etc. Currently the school
is renting the outhouse of the Buffalo Flats Masjid for this purpose.
The lack of facilities: students and teachers share the Masjid toilets which is against the Department of Health policies as children are not to use the same toilets as adults.
Finance
Financial struggles despite being proactive by hosting fundraisers for basic necessities, the school is still struggling financially.
Salary
Teachers not paid market related salaries students not paying school fees on time and sometimes not at all. The Department of Education’s policy is that learners cannot be denied the right to education, placing extra burden on the financial situation of the school.
